Ridge is a very bold female wolf and the leader of the Cliffside Pack alongside her mate, Chase. She has an immense dislike towards coyote in particular, as they killed two pups from her first litter. She loves Chase, but sometimes she wonders if her pups would have survived if she had a mate who was a little more proactive in defending the pups. Doing most of the hunting for the pack, Ridge often ends up the injured, but with Chase often unwilling to bring food, she has to continue to hunt despite her injuries. Over time, Ridge came to forgive Chase, and the two worked together harder than before.
Chase was originally part of the Cutoff Pack that lived in Slough Creek before the pack dissolved. He fell for Ridge for her engaging personality, and her hunting prowess. Being a bit of a coward himself, he often prolongs jumping into the fray to avoid injury. This has led to his mate becoming injured numerous times, but his meekness often keeps him with the rest of the pack. He feels deeply apologetic for the death of their two pups who were lost to coyotes. As the pups grew, Chase stepped up more, watching the pups and hunting to help out.
Kinnickinnick's bright red pelt was unexpected, to say the least. Ridge thought he would grow up to look more like her, but when his coat turned red, she knew she had to name him after the bright red kinnickinnick berries that grow on their territory. He proved himself as a young hunter to be a maginificient packmate, but during off-times rathered to spend time away from his parents on his own. Ridge thinks he's likely to disperse once he's a bit older, but she's accepted it already.
Named for his dark coat, Night's other name may as well be "Shadow" for the way he's always following Ridge or Chase around. He doesn't enjoy being on his lonesome and would rather be surrounded by other wolves. Whenever one parent is lazing around, Night is sure to be somewhere close by doing just the same. Out of his siblings, he's always been the largest. As fall set in across Slough Creek, Night contracted an illness and succumbed soon after.
If there's one thing Crag was good at, it was doing things in pairs. If one pup got sick, Crag was sure to follow. Someone was running around? Crag was right behind! In her early months, she often found herself being carried, as she had a tendency to lag behind. She has improved with time and stayed in pace with the rest of the pack... for the most part. She wandered off one evening and, despite Ridge's best efforts, could not be found.
